Keep checking this page for information about things happening in the Miss Shen Community.  Hannah is a member of our Miss Shen family. Click the link to the left to read her story and learn how you can help fund research to find a cure for Giant Axonal Neuropathy. Nick Cammarata was a 13 year old teen, and friend to many in the Miss Shen family, who was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on the Fourth of July, 2008. For four months Nick struggled to get into remission. He was a candidate for a bone marrow transplant and a match was found at the end of September. He went into remission in October. On October 26, 2008, Nick lost his valiant fight with cancer, but his spirit and love surrounds us all daily. The mission of ‘Nick’s Fight to be Healed Foundation, Inc.’ is to support pediatric blood cancer patients as well as serve the young adult blood cancer community. Miss Shen Softball is proud to volunteer with SAFE (Sports are for Everyone). Each spring, Miss Shen teams lend a hand (or leg, or eye) to help kids with differing abilities enjoy the game of baseball.
